Anna is very excited to be the Seminarian at United Parish this year. Anna is pursuing her Masters of Divinity and certificate in Religion and Conflict Transformation at Boston University School of Theology. She moved to Boston from Minneapolis with her husband, Nathan, and dog, Lille, last September and starting visiting United Parish during Advent. In June, they welcomed their first child.
Anna is eager to learn from and collaborate with the many ministers of United Parish. Anna was raised in the UCC, educated by Lutherans (Luther College in Decorah, IA) and Methodists (Boston University) and married a Mennonite. While she is formally a Member in Discernment with the UCC Conference of Minnesota, all of these denominations inform her faith and theology. Prior to seminary, Anna worked as an ESL elementary teacher, non-profit communications manager, and ministry director for a Christian non-profit. She enjoys working with faith communities to build community, practice peace, and advocate for justice. She loves coffee, time with family, being outside, and fall colors. Anna is very eager to see what God has in store for United Parish this year!
