Ruby Abreu

Ruby is a dynamic mezzo-soprano and marketer, currently pursuing a Master of Music at Longy School of Music as a Garth and Lindsay Greimann Equity Scholar. This fall, she makes her role debut as Madame de la Haltière in Longy’s Cendrillon and is excited to be the Alto Section Leader at United Parish of Brookline. Her recent European debut at the Varna International Music Academy featured performances in Bulgaria and Italy, including the Mozart Requiem and roles in Suor Angelica. Past roles include Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel and premieres of new works, such as Kevin Lubin’s The Cats Have Come to Tea. In the Spring of 2024, Ruby performed as Euan Morton in Sondheim on Sondheim and as Idomeneo in the scenes program, La Voce Totale.

In addition to her vocal accomplishments, Ruby is the Marketing Manager for the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, where she oversees media strategy, social media, and outreach, elevating the society’s presence in its 90th season. She also supports Rollins College’s Department of Music as a graphic designer. Ruby’s skills extend to website design and photography, helping musicians and non-profits enhance their digital presence through an authentic lens.

Outside of music, Ruby enjoys learning French, making her friends laugh, and baking cookies.
