A classically trained musician, Jim comes to UPB from his most recent role as General Manager of the New England Philharmonic. Jim served nearly 20 years in higher ed. administration at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Jim is passionate about issues of social justice and anti-racism, LGBTQ+ and women’s reproductive rights, and services for those experiencing homelessness and substance use disorder.
Jim splits his time between Boston and Provincetown, has recently found the joys of birding, loves classical music, art and literature, and can frequently be found obsessing about cooking and sharing great food with good friends.
