THANK YOU to all those who attended the In-District Meeting with Sen. Creem and Reps. Vitolo, Balser, Khan and Peisch this past Monday evening at Union Church in Waban. There were 230 in attendance from 18 worship congregations and a few affiliated organizations active in housing and services to returning citizens, including 25 of us from the United Parish! Throughout all of the IDM’s held around greater Boston, the support from elected officials has been very positive overall, as was the case with our IDM on Monday. The United Parish Baptists are offering full scholarships (up to $790) to Grotonwood, a Baptist camp where we have had retreats in the past. After a multi-year hiatus, the Souper Bowl Chili Sale is returning. On Saturday, February 10, the Hearts and Hands Ministry Team will gather in the kitchen off Willett Hall to cook the chili, make cornbread and bake desserts.
