Worship Life

Is God calling you to set the table? The communion preparation team is looking for a few new volunteers to help set God's table by assisting in preparing the meal on the first Sunday of the month. Volunteers work in pairs for an hour in advance of church. The time commitment is just that hour a few times a year.

Come bring your warm and welcoming smiles to help usher on Sunday mornings. Ushers may either be a part of the welcoming team and/or help with receiving the offering and serving communion. This is a weekly commitment; we are seeking volunteers to commit to one Sunday each month.

Share your voice as a worship liturgist! Volunteer leaders are needed to take a turn leading parts of the Sunday service. Brief training workshops for continuing and new liturgists are held periodically.

United Parish has choirs for all age groups: preschool, elementary aged, teens, and adult, and a handbell choir for teens and adults. All of our choirs are non-audition. We welcome newcomers, both expert and novice, throughout the year. Learn more about our choirs.

Serving as an acolyte is a wonderful way for children of our church from fifth grade up to actively participate in Sunday worship services.  Acolytes assist the pastors and help everyone prepare for worship.  When acolytes light the altar candles at the beginning of worship, we are remindied that God is here with us.
