Donations for Coat Boston

Coat Boston was launched by City Mission in 2009 with the generous support of Citizens Bank Foundation. Since then, City Mission has distributed over 12,000 new winter coats to under-served and homeless children and youth in Boston. A new warm coat says, "Boston cares about our young people." A new warm coat means children and youth who receive them are able to attend school regularly; they will be warm and able to play outside; and they will be able to enjoy the dignity of fitting in with their peers!

United Parish will be collecting donations from Sunday, Oct 1st through Sunday, Nov 12th during coffee hour. Thank you in advance for your ongoing support of this very special community clothing of the "Least of These". This year we are requesting that you give checks or cash for coats (not actual coats), because with money donated, City Mission is able to buy coats in bulk and thus clothe more children. Checks should be made out to The United Parish in Brookline with Coat Boston in the note line. Your generosity is most appreciated! If you have any questions, please contact Stretchingintojustice@upbrookline.org.
